So I was enjoying a nice brunch at Liza Beirut when I was called by the team of Miss Selfridge Middle East! A trip to Dubai was in store for me as well as the opportunity to attend The Dubai World Cup on Saturday March 28!
The Dubai World Cup is a prestigious event with plenty of British presence, the most expensive horses in the world the most talented jockeys and just a lot of hats and gorgeous outfits if you are lucky enough to be attending as a VIP.
On my first day, I landed only to be met by the Conrad Dubai team and the Miss Selfridge Middle East team, the super luxurious hotel where I was staying, and driven there in a Porsche Cayenne with a special plate number. After getting acquainted with the hotel and my own suite I rushed to the Dubai Mall with my brother! I had to go there! I never miss an opportunity to visit Sephora, Candylicious and the Cheesecake Factory!
After hours at the Dubai Mall, I met up with friends and went to Jumeirah where an evening by the sea was a perfect end to that Dubai day! The weather during this time of the year is moderate, and just perfect for a bit of everything.
On my first day in Dubai, involving a trip from Beirut, a lot of shopping and walking on foot; I needed a comfortable outfit so I decided to go with light fabrics, flats and a big bag to fit all my papers and stuff I needed all the way from Beirut. Zara, BCBG, Versace, Michael Kors and of course Miss Selfridge was my combo for the first day.
In the hotel, I preferred staying in light summer dresses, but these do not count!
I ended the first day in front of my hotel view of the gorgeous Dubai skyline by night, planning my big event the next day…
