I have to admit that feminine styling was not my thing for a long long time. In effect; jeans, my highest heels and bold accessories were always my favorite formula for practically everything excluding weddings. And I admit I still use this formula a lot, whenever I am running out of time or options.
However, feminine styling has an edge: It brings out the soft side of a lady, has limitless options in terms of wardrobe pieces and of course it automatically forces you to tame your wild self down and act like a lady.
This is not the first time I feature this skirt, and within a short period of time. Small confession: I just love it and couldn’t wait to style it again for all the flaws it hide in my eccentric body shape. Midi skirts just have this one great way of fitting curvy ladies; they highlight the thin waist, hide the excess hips and balance any hourglass or pear shaped body.
For Savannah‘s launch at Cavalli Caffe Beirut, I chose to go again with this super feminine look that highlights the waist and down tone everything else. So I paired the skirt with a sheer black blouse which I tied at the middle (Western style knot), Nicholas Kirkwood suede pumps and a nude studded clutch. My makeup was focused on the lips, just like most of my makeup looks lately.
My Advice: If you are a curvy hourglass or a pear shape lady, big midi skirts are literally made for you; they will balance you out and highlight your thinner body parts while accentuating your feminine silhouette.
